Grey Sky Morning

It may take some time to patch me up inside,
I can't take it so I run away to hide.
I may find in time that you were always right,
You're always right.

American Pie

There are times when a book, a song or some piece of art can make you cry for no apparent reason. You don't understand what it means completely, and even if it were explained to you by the artist himself parts of it would still elude you. But somehow that piece can strike a chord with your innermost soul and bring a wave of emotions at a point where you'll never expect.

Yes it's just a song, and a song that I'll probably never fully understand. But damn if this isn't art.

Earthworm

We have no idea how an earthworm thinks.

The problem with gaming til 2am in the morning is that when you finally snap away from the computer you realise that all your worries and problems come back, and now there's nobody to talk to because everyone's asleep. Not that talking actually helps, most of the time it's just a different form of escapism. At least it doesn't keep me up for long. Running 18 hour days tends to make your sleep come very easily.

I like... walking through crowds at a fast pace, just weaving through the people walking in both directions, twisting my body and holding my bag close so I don't hit anyone while maintaining a pace hardly suited for a place like Orchard Road. It's actually fun, to like take in the surrounding traffic in a glance, predict their movements in the next 5 seconds based on their current walking speed, and dart through an opening that presents itself, as long as you can fit through it. It's not that I'm in a hurry or anything, it's just nice to weave in and out of crowds like that.

Rocked

I just got back from watching the musical 'We Will Rock You', based on the music of Queen. It was... pretty much about how rock music was the way to combat the increasing homogenuity of music nowadays. Not that I really agree with the methods, but the idea was nice, totally resonated with what I've been feeling for the last few months. Would recommend anyone who actually listens to music in the 80s to go watch it. Rock music. Otherwise most of the effect'd be pretty lost.
